I don't know exactly how it works, but lets say I have a house track at 140 BPM and a Hip Hop track at 80 BPM the software will recognise this and rather mix both tracks bar-for-bar, it'll sync the slower track's second bar with the faster tracks first bar. From my little research, I can see Serato offers syncing too but is it quite literally as simple as pressing a button and the tracks are locked together with no adjustments necessary?Īnother thing I like with Torq is I can have 2 track of rather drastic variation in BPM that I can mix together seamlessly by simply pushing the Sync button. I can quite literally press a button and focus on EQ'ing/looping/etc. What I like about Torq is I can sync up two tracks and not have to worry about either track moving off beat. Whilst I can understand where you're coming from, I'm hesitant to move away from Torq and the Xponent as it does everything I need it to do. So, can anyone make a recommendation as to what sort of computer I should look for? The cheaper the better but ideally not something that is going to be annoyingly slow. I will use the computer for running the software only and there will be little to no music stored on the computer as it's all on my external hard drives.

I want to purchase a computer that will be able to run the Torq Xponent software but am not sure what I should be looking for.

As far as I can tell, this means I can't use the controller with my Macbook Pro running OSX 10.11.1.

I recently dusted off my old Torq Xponent in hope of putting a recording together only to find out M-Audio have stopped providing support/updates for the latest Windows and Apple operating systems.Ĭomputers are definitely not my forte so please excuse my lack of knowledge and understanding but from the M-Audio website and forum I can see they provide drivers and support up to Mac OSX 10.7.4 and Windows 7. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. If you're interested in streaming radio or playing some live sets, check out Reddit's own EMP Radio!
